Job Description:
Lana's role as Director of Student Outreach Services includes a variety of responsibilities both at the local and national level. In Tennessee, she works with the Student Outreach counselors to ensure their needs and those of their students and counselors are being met, coordinating new initiatives, resources, and programs designed to promote early college awareness. She frequently represents Student Outreach Services at professional conferences and meetings nationwide.
Lana's role as the Middle Tennessee Student Outreach Counselor is to educate middle Tennessee students on college and career planning. She presents to juniors and seniors on Planning for After High School. The presentation covers choosing the right career, the admissions process, and the financial aid process. She offers assistance in training administrators/faculty/staff on the Tennessee College and Career Planning System and assisting students to use the career assessments. She also introduces students to our college planning website, eCampusTours.com, where students can view over 1200 different college campuses. College and career planning materials are also offered free to all schools.
Work Experience:
Lana has been with EdSouth for six years. She also as been teaching correspondence classes at MTSU for nine years. Prior to EdSouth she worked at Southern Arkansas University as an instructor and coordinating marketing for the School of Business.

Personal information:
Lana is married and has one child. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as traveling to see different parts of the world. Jogging, snow skiing, reading, and gardening are a few of the things she enjoys. She also enjoys being active with her church.
